Chenille Stems 14 mm, Assorted Colours, 50 cm, 100 Pieces

Extra Thick Chenille Stems 14 mm – Assorted Colours for Figures and Decorations

These chenille stems (pipe cleaners) are 14 mm in diameter. They are extra thick and add volume to animals, figures, flowers and decorations. You get 100 pieces in assorted colours, each approx. 50 cm long. A sturdy wire core is surrounded by a soft synthetic covering. This makes the stems easy to bend, and they keep their shape.

Thanks to the large diameter, even a few stems look full and fluffy. This is useful for larger, sturdy figures where thin pipe cleaners would look too delicate.

Working with thick chenille stems

To join them, twist two stems together or wrap them around a stick, a piece of wood or a cardboard tube. For arms, legs or antennae, simply bend the stem into shape. You can shorten it with side cutters; ordinary paper scissors quickly become blunt on the wire core. After shortening, fold the ends over or glue them down so that no sharp points stick out.

Which thickness suits you?

14 mm is much thicker than the classic thin pipe cleaner. For fine details, antennae or flower stems, thinner stems are more suitable. Chenille stems in other diameters are available in the range.
