Pipe cleaners chenille stems Ø 9 mm, multicoloured, 50 cm, pack of 100

Pipe cleaners Ø 9 mm – 100 assorted colours for crafting

You can use these pipe cleaners (chenille stems) with a Ø of 9 mm for animals, figures, flowers and small decorations. The pack contains 100 pieces in assorted colours, each about 50 cm long. A sturdy wire core is covered with soft synthetic fabric. You bend the stems into shape by hand, they hold their position, and the surface feels fluffy.

The length of about 50 cm gives you room to work: you can use one stem in one piece for large figures or cut it into several short pieces, for example for legs, antennae or flower stalks.

Shaping figures

For spirals for antennae or tails, wind the stem around a pencil and slide it off again. You join several stems by twisting the ends together. For bodies and limbs, fold a stem in half and twist it. Use wire cutters to shorten them, as the wire core quickly blunts scissors. Finally, bend the wire ends over or glue them down so that they do not prick.

Which diameter should you choose?

With Ø 9 mm, smaller figures and finer details are also easy to bend. For particularly voluminous, plush figures, this series also includes pipe cleaners with a Ø of 14 mm.
