Efco egg-shaped wooden feet are untreated wooden parts for homemade dolls and puppets. The rounded egg shape gives your figure a base to stand on and a soft, childlike look.

The feet come in several sizes. Depending on the size, a pack contains 2 or 4 feet. Choose the size and number of pieces from the options. Plan the quantity to suit the number of figures: one figure needs two feet.

Working with the wooden feet

As the wood is raw, you can finish it however you like. If needed, sand the surface lightly so that it is smooth and the paint covers evenly.

• Use acrylic paint to paint the feet as shoes or boots, in a skin tone or in bright colours.
• Apply the paint in thin layers and let each layer dry. This avoids runs and brush marks.
• Use wood glue to attach the feet to legs or bodies made of wood, fabric or cardboard. Press them on briefly until the glue holds.

Which size to choose

Choose the size according to the proportions of your figure. Small feet suit dainty dolls, while larger feet give a puppet or a larger figure a firmer stance. Try the feet against the leg before gluing so that body and feet fit together.
