da Vinci SYNTHETIC Bristle 2429 Flat Brush for Priming

da Vinci SYNTHETIC Bristle series 2429 – flat brush for priming and covering large areas

The da Vinci SYNTHETIC Bristle brush from series 2429 is a wide flat brush for priming and for large areas of oil and acrylic paint. According to da Vinci, the strong, springy synthetic bristles come close to the properties of hog bristles but are easier to clean. The bristles are set in a rustproof stainless steel ferrule in DUROPLUS quality. The short wooden handle has a textured grip surface.

The brush is vegan and made in Germany. Choose your width from the options.

Using the flat brush

The wide shape covers surfaces in just a few strokes. This saves time when priming canvas, painting boards or wood, and leaves more even strokes than a narrow brush.

• Apply the primer thinly and spread it in one direction
• For the second coat, once the first has dried, work across the first coat
• Also suitable for blocking in large areas and applying broad layers of colour in oil and acrylic

Care

Wash the brush out immediately after painting. Acrylic paint and primer dry in the ferrule and are then almost impossible to remove. For oil paint, first remove the paint with a suitable brush cleaner, then wash again with mild soap. Do not stand the brush on its bristles to dry, so that they keep their shape.
