Kreul Liquid Bronze – high-gloss metallic pigment paint for bronze effects

Kreul Liquid Bronze is a high-gloss metallic pigment paint on a synthetic resin base for brilliant bronze effects. You can use it to restore antique objects or to decorate frames, sculptures and decorative elements. The paint is opaque, lightfast and intended for indoor use. Choose your colour from the options.

Liquid Bronze adheres to wood, canvas, card, stone, ceramic, metal and many plastics. It is not suitable for objects subject to mechanical stress, for example through friction or frequent handling. The jar contains 50 ml.

Applying Liquid Bronze

The surface determines the result, as the gloss shows every unevenness and every trace of grease. Proceed as follows:

• Prepare the surface so that it is clean, dry, and free of grease and rust
• Prime absorbent surfaces first with Kreul Acryl Mattfarbe
• Stir the paint well so that the metallic pigments are evenly distributed
• Apply once only with a synthetic brush and do not brush over it again
• The surface is touch-dry after approx. 30 minutes and fully dry after approx. 12 hours

Things to bear in mind

The bronze cannot be overpainted once dry. Plan patterns, masking and transitions beforehand. If you are working on a frame or a sculpture, first try the paint on an inconspicuous spot or a test piece. This shows you how the gloss and shade look on your surface. For objects that are often handled or rubbed, it is better to choose another material.
