Schmincke LINO-CLEAN – fast-acting cleaner for lino printing tools
Schmincke LINO-CLEAN is a fast-acting, water-based specialist cleaner for lino printing. You can use it to remove printing ink from rubber rollers, printing plates, brushes and other tools, even if the ink has already dried.
The product contains alcohol, surfactants, additives and water, and is made in Germany. The 125 ml bottle suits you if you only print occasionally or want to try it out first. If you work regularly with relief printing techniques, LINO-CLEAN is also available in a 250 ml bottle.
Cleaning your tools
Apply LINO-CLEAN directly to the dirty surface, leave it to work for a short while and wipe off the ink residue with a cloth or paper towel. For stubborn marks, leave it a little longer. It is quickest if you clean the roller and plate straight after printing, before the ink dries on. For brushes, dip them only as far as the ferrule so that no liquid gets into the ferrule.
Working safely
The product is flammable. Do not use it near flames, sparks or hot surfaces, and do not smoke. When wiping, make sure nothing gets into your eyes. You will find the full safety information in the warnings below.
