Canson Sketchbook A5, 140 gsm, 20 sheets, stapled

Canson Sketchbook A5 – compact sketchbook for pencil, coloured pencil and charcoal

The Canson Sketchbook in A5 format (14.8 × 21 cm) is a stapled sketchbook for quick drawings, studies and notes. It has 20 natural white sheets (40 pages) at 140 gsm and fits into a small bag.

According to Canson, the paper has a light grain, is acid-free and contains no optical brighteners. Canson recommends it for pencil, coloured pencil, felt-tip pen and charcoal. The soft cover is made of black paper and protects the sheets in transit.

What the sketchbook is suited to

At 140 gsm, the paper is sturdier than ordinary copy paper and takes dry techniques well. The light grain gives pencil, coloured pencil and charcoal strokes a little grip. Soft pencil and charcoal smudge easily: place a sheet under your hand while drawing and, if needed, separate finished pages with a spare sheet.

Which size to choose

A5 is the handy size for sketching on the move, for studies and for notes. The Sketchbook is also available in the same design in A4 and A3 if you want to draw larger.
