Talens Art Creation Cork Sketchbook, 13 × 21 cm, 80 Sheets

Talens Art Creation Cork Sketchbook – hardback sketchbook, 13 × 21 cm

The Cork sketchbook from the Talens Art Creation range by Royal Talens is a hardback sketchbook for drawing, studies, urban sketching or as a journal. It has 80 sheets of acid-free, natural white paper at 140 gsm. The portrait format of 13 × 21 cm is handy and fits easily into a rucksack or bag.

The paper is blank, so neither lined nor dotted, and slightly textured. The hardback cover gives you a stable surface when drawing on the go, even without a table.

Which techniques suit the paper?

According to the manufacturer, the 140 gsm paper is suitable for pencil, coloured pencils, pastel, charcoal, ink, acrylic and poster paint, as well as light washes with wet media. With a lot of water, paper of this weight can buckle, so work with little water and leave the pages open to dry. Acid-free paper yellows less quickly, so your sketches last longer.

Choosing a sketchbook

At 13 × 21 cm, the sketchbook is slightly narrower than A5. It is compact for sketching on the go; for large subjects you will need a larger format. Talens Art Creation is available in other sizes and colours.
