Eberhard Faber Red/Blue Combination Eraser – for Pencil, Colouring Pencil and Ink

The Eberhard Faber combination eraser (art. no. 585443) removes pencil, colouring pencil and ink marks with a single eraser. It is made of synthetic rubber and is latex-free. According to the manufacturer, it erases softly and without smearing.

The red end is intended for pencil and colouring pencil, the blue end for ink. So you do not have to switch between two erasers when you correct sketches and ink lines on the same sheet.

How to erase cleanly

Use the red end for pencil and colouring pencil and the blue end for ink, so that you do not mix the colours or transfer residue from the other type onto the paper. Erase with light pressure in one direction, then blow the eraser crumbs away instead of smudging them with your hand. Take particular care with ink, especially on thin paper, so that the surface does not roughen. A quick test on an inconspicuous spot will show you how your paper reacts.
