Prym Anorak Press Studs – No-Sew Fitting, with Tool and Instructions

The Prym Anorak no-sew press stud (art. no. 390301) is a rustproof brass press stud that you fit without needle and thread to jackets, anoraks, dresses, skirts and fine leather. The pack contains 10 press studs, 15 mm in diameter, with a silver-coloured finish. A tool and instructions are included, so you can get started straight away.

The press studs have a medium closing force. According to Prym, a bronze wire spring (S-spring) lets them open and close smoothly. This makes them suitable for fastenings that should not sit too tight.

Fitting the press studs

Read the enclosed instructions first and work with the tool supplied on a firm, level surface. Test the fastening on an offcut of the same fabric before fitting it to the garment. On very thin or stretchy fabrics, a press stud holds better if you reinforce the spot with interfacing.

Choosing the finish

This item is the silver-coloured version. According to the manufacturer, the Anorak press studs are also available in other finishes, for example gold-coloured, antique brass or burnished, as well as with a white or black lacquered cap. Choose the shade to match the zip and seams of your project.
