Prym Sew-Free Anorak Press Studs 15 mm – Burnished

You attach the Prym sew-free press studs "Anorak" (art. no. 390302) without sewing. With a diameter of 15 mm and medium closing force, they suit jackets, anoraks, blousons, skirts and dresses. The S-spring ensures smooth, even opening and closing. The pack contains 10 brass press studs in a burnished finish and a fitting tool. Alternatively, you can attach the studs with the Prym VARIO pliers or the tripod.

Fitting the press studs

A press stud consists of four parts: cap and spring part (top) as well as ball part and base. First mark the positions on both sides of the fabric exactly opposite each other. Then make a hole in the fabric at each point, as described in the enclosed instructions, and assemble the parts with the tool. With the hand tool you will usually need a hammer and a firm, smooth surface. It is best to try the first stud on a scrap of fabric.

On thin or stretchy fabrics, a press stud holds better if you reinforce the spot with interfacing or fold the fabric double. Prym also offers refill packs without a tool.
