Prym Cover Buttons Ø 19 mm – cover them with your own fabric

With these Prym cover buttons you can make buttons from your favourite fabric to match a jacket, dress or cushion. The pack contains 5 rustproof metal button blanks, Ø 19 mm, with a sturdy wire shank for sewing on, plus a tool and instructions.

A toothed rim on the inside holds the evenly stretched fabric in place. Depending on the fabric used, the finished buttons are washable up to 60 degrees.

How to cover the buttons

A template for cutting the circular piece of fabric is printed on the packaging. Cut out the fabric with it, stretch it evenly over the button and fix it in place with the tool supplied, as shown in the instructions. The fabric should stretch smoothly and without wrinkles. With light-coloured or thin fabrics the metal may show through; a second layer of fabric underneath prevents this.

Which size to choose

Ø 19 mm is a medium size that you can use for jackets or dresses, for example. The range is also available in other diameters, each with its own quantity per pack, so it is best to count how many buttons you need.
