Lang Yarns Punto 76 Alpaca Trails – knitting pattern booklet

Lang Yarns Punto 76 Alpaca Trails – 13 knitting patterns for alpaca yarns

The Lang Yarns knitting booklet Punto 76 “Alpaca Trails” contains 13 knitting patterns for autumn and winter: jumpers, cardigans, hats, triangular shawls and a scarf. All the designs are written for alpaca yarns. The patterns are in German.

Besides the designs, the booklet tells you about alpaca fibre, the breeds and how the animals are kept. Alpacas belong to the camelid family and live in the high altitudes of the South American Andes in Peru, Bolivia and Chile. Their fibre is known for its softness and warmth.

What is in the booklet

The booklet covers several types of garment and levels of difficulty, so you can choose according to your taste and the time you have. The patterns have names such as LAURE, PRIYANKA, ARCADIA and VARADA for the jumpers, MARGARET, CHARLOTTA and TERESA for the cardigans, and CADENCE, PENELOPE and ADELA for the triangular shawls. There are also the hats LAURIANE and PHOEBE and the scarf VIRGINIA.

• 4 jumpers
• 3 cardigans
• 3 triangular shawls
• 2 hats
• 1 scarf

Yarn and size

For the designs, Lang Yarns uses its own yarns Baby Alpaca, Suri Alpaca and Alpaca Soxx. The garments are written in sizes S to XL, so you can find the right size before casting on. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. If you use a different yarn, knit a tension swatch first and compare it with the pattern.
