addi addiClick Basic Cable – Build Your Own Circular Knitting Needle

The addiClick Basic cable from addi is the cable sold separately for the addiClick system. You combine it with the needle tips of your choice and put together a circular knitting needle in the length that suits your project. The cable comes in 60, 80, 100, 120 and 150 cm; choose the length from the options.

According to addi, the Basic cables from 60 cm are the matching accessory for the 125 mm long addiClick Basic Long tips. Tips and cable are bought separately. This way you can change needle sizes without having to buy a complete circular needle each time.

Putting your circular needle together

First choose the needle tips in the size your pattern calls for and connect them to the cable. The total length of the finished circular needle is made up of the tips and the cable together. For a small number of stitches, such as hats or sleeves, use a shorter cable. For wide scarves, shawls or blankets, choose a longer one.

Longer cables and choosing the right one

Two cables can be joined with a connector. This helps with extra large projects or if you want to try a piece on part-way through without taking the stitches off. According to addi, the Basic cables from 60 cm fit the 125 mm long addiClick Basic Long tips. If you already have a cable, you can simply add new needle sizes with further tips.
