Prym quilting hoop Ø 36 cm – beech wood hoop for patchwork and quilts

The Prym quilting hoop, 36 cm in diameter, keeps patchwork and quilting taut and smooth while you sew. It is made of multi-layer glued beech wood, is 23 mm deep and has a brass adjusting screw on the side. You can use it to fine-tune the tension.

The surface is sanded smooth and is gentle on the fabric. With a diameter of 36 cm, the hoop holds a large area at once, so you need to reposition it less often.

How to hoop your work

First loosen the brass screw and separate the outer ring from the inner ring. Lay the layers of fabric flat over the inner ring, place the outer ring on top and tighten the screw slowly. Smooth the fabric out towards the edge as you do so, without distorting it, otherwise the work will wrinkle later. With several layers, adjust the tension with the screw. The 23 mm depth of the hoop gives the layers a good hold, so you can turn and move the work while quilting.
