The Rico Design embroidery hoop is made of plastic and holds your fabric firmly for embroidery. Thanks to the anti-slip groove on the inner ring, it locks into the channel of the outer ring as you tighten it. The fabric stays taut and does not slip, even during longer embroidery projects, so you need to re-tension it less often.

A metal screw on the outer ring is used for tightening. The hoop is available in various sizes; choose the size from the options.

How to hoop the fabric

Loosen the metal screw completely. Place the fabric over the inner ring and fit the outer ring so that the groove of the inner ring locks into the channel. Smooth the fabric before tightening the screw, ideally pulling evenly on all sides. Only then tighten the screw. The fabric should sit taut but not be stretched out of shape, otherwise the embroidery will pucker once it is removed.

Which size to choose

Choose a hoop so that your design fits inside it as completely as possible. That way you will not need to re-hoop the fabric as you work. A small hoop is enough for small designs and details; for larger embroidery pictures, use a larger one.
