Prym Elastic Lace Edging in Black – Stretch Trim for Lingerie and Underwear

Prym elastic lace edging in black is a 10 mm wide elastic with a decorative edge for lingerie, bras, control briefs and half slips. Only one side is decorated and the other is straight, so you sew the elastic on as a finish at a hem or neckline. Thanks to the special weaving technique, the elastic keeps its shape when stretched.

The elastic is made of 84% polyamide and 16% elastane and is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This matters for underwear worn directly against the skin. You can wash it at up to 60 °C. The pack contains 2 m.

Sewing the edging

Sew the elastic on with a stretch stitch, such as zigzag or overlock stitch, so that the seam stretches with the fabric when worn and does not break. The decorated edge faces outwards. If the finish should fit snugly, stretch the elastic slightly and evenly as you sew. Try out the stretch on an offcut first.
