Prym Velour-Elastic 15 mm – elastic with a soft side for facings and straps

Prym Velour-Elastic (art. no. 953091) is a woven, stretchy band with one soft side. You sew it in as a facing or for straps on bras, tops and similar garments. The band is 15 mm wide and, according to Prym, feels comfortable against the skin. It is made of 56% polyester, 24% elastodiene and 20% polyamide and is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The card contains 1 m in white.

Using the elastic

Place the soft velour side against the skin so the band sits comfortably when worn. Measure the length you need on the body or on the pattern piece and allow for a seam allowance. Sew the band on with a zigzag or stretch stitch so the seam gives with the fabric when worn and does not break. Wash at up to 60 °C; do not use chlorine bleach and do not dry clean.
