The Gütermann Cotton 30 embroidery thread set in Multicolor 2 contains 5 reels of 300 m cotton thread each, 1,500 m in total. You can use it for sewing, machine quilting and machine embroidery. The colour changes along the thread in harmonious gradients, creating lively effects without you having to change thread.

The thread is 100% cotton. It has little sheen and gives embroidery a wool-like character. That suits designs, decorative seams or quilting lines that should look matt and natural.

Use and handling

For sewing and embroidery machines, a universal needle in size NM 80–90 is recommended. The thread adds accents to bags, quilts and home decor, for example as a decorative seam, decorative stitch or quilting line. On small motifs or very short stitches, only a short length of thread runs through the design, so the gradient is less noticeable there than on longer lines. A test piece on a scrap of your fabric shows you beforehand how the colours will look.

Choosing a set

The Cotton 30 thread set comes in three colour combinations: Multicolor 1, 2 and 3. Each set has 5 reels of 300 m and its own colour gradient. Multicolor 2 offers harmonious gradients. If you want to keep several projects in the same colour scheme, plan the quantity using the total length of 1,500 m.
