Städter Donkey Cookie Cutter – Stainless Steel Cutter for Dough, Fondant and Marzipan

With the Städter donkey cookie cutter you can cut donkeys from biscuit dough, fondant or marzipan when you need animal shapes for baking or cake decorations. It measures 10 cm and is made of shiny, rustproof stainless steel. The cutter only cuts out the outline of the motif. You add details such as eyes, mane or icing afterwards.

According to the manufacturer, the cutter is food-safe and dishwasher safe, so after baking you can simply put it in the dishwasher. It is also suitable for crafting and modelling, for example with salt dough, modelling clay or Fimo.

Using the cutter

Roll out the dough evenly and chill it briefly before cutting so the outlines stay sharp. If the dough is sticky, dip the cutter briefly in flour; for fondant, use a little cornflour or icing sugar. Press it down straight and firmly all the way to the work surface and carefully release the donkey. Place the shapes close together so there is less leftover dough.

Also for crafts

You can cut donkeys from salt dough, modelling clay or Fimo, for example for pendants or gift decorations. If you have used the cutter for Fimo or modelling clay, do not use it for food afterwards.
