Städter Butterfly Embossing Cookie Cutter – Cut the Dough and Emboss the Design

With the Städter butterfly embossing cookie cutter, you cut out dough, fondant or marzipan and emboss the design at the same time. The stainless steel cutter measures 7 cm, which suits biscuits, fondant decorations or small hanging decorations.

For its stainless steel embossing cutters, Städter states that they are rustproof, dishwasher safe and food-safe. The cutter is also suitable for crafting and modelling, for example with modelling clay, salt dough or Fimo.

Using the embossing cutter

Roll out the dough evenly and press the cutter down firmly. If the dough is sticky, dip the cutter briefly in flour first. For fondant and marzipan, lightly dust the work surface with icing sugar. Press the cutter straight down and lift it straight off again so that the embossing stays crisp. The more even the thickness of the dough, the clearer the design.

Also for crafting

You can also use the cutter on salt dough, modelling clay or Fimo, for example for pendants or gift decorations. Once you have used the cutter with modelling material, do not use it for food again.
