Städter Pug Face – embossing cookie cutter for biscuits, fondant and modelling clay

With the Städter pug face embossing cookie cutter, you cut pug faces from dough, fondant or marzipan and emboss the face at the same time. According to Städter, the embossing gives the biscuits more definition. The cutter is made of rustproof stainless steel, spot-welded, and measures 5.5 cm. It suits small biscuits and decorations for cakes or cupcakes.

You can also use the cutter for crafts and modelling, for example with wax, modelling clay, clay or Fimo. If you use it for this, do not use it for food afterwards.

Embossing tips

Roll out the dough evenly and lightly dust the cutter with flour. Press it straight down through the dough until it touches the work surface. The embossing is pressed into the biscuit as you cut. To keep it sharp during baking, it is best to use a firm dough with little raising agent and to chill the cut shapes briefly before baking. With fondant and marzipan, a little icing sugar on the cutter also stops the mixture from sticking.

Modelling and crafting

For modelling clay, clay or Fimo, press the cutter into the rolled-out material as you would with dough. This gives you even pug pendants or decorative pieces. Clean the cutter thoroughly after use.
