Städter Moon Cookie Cutter – Cuts Out the Outline and Inner Motifs

The Städter moon cookie cutter with cut-outs, made of stainless steel, cuts moons from dough, fondant or marzipan. You can also use it for crafting and modelling, for example with modelling clay, salt dough or Fimo. The cutter doesn't just cut the outline, but also small motifs inside the shape. This gives the moon more depth.

The cutter is made of rustproof, spot-welded stainless steel with a shiny finish. According to Städter, it is food-safe and dishwasher safe. At approx. 5 × 8 × 2.5 cm, it suits biscuits, pendants and small decorative figures.

How to cut out

Roll out dough, fondant or marzipan evenly and press the cutter straight down onto it. Push down firmly and lift it straight off again. With sticky dough, a little flour helps; with fondant, a little cornflour or icing sugar on the work surface and on the cutter. If dough gets stuck in the small cut-outs, push it out with a cocktail stick. Don't roll salt dough and modelling clay out too thin, so that the moon stays stable. Once you have used the cutter for Fimo or modelling clay, don't use it for food again.
