When pouring, the wick determines how the candle burns: it must match the candle's diameter. A wick that's too thin drowns in the melted wax, while one that's too thick smokes and makes the candle burn down quickly. The wick size details for each product help you choose. Always melt wax in a double boiler rather than directly on the stovetop, and never leave it unattended.
