Rayher colour pigment sticks – colouring wax and candles

Rayher colour pigment sticks colour melted wax and, according to Rayher, are also suitable for dipping candles. The set contains 5 sticks in 5 colours, 1 stick per colour. One stick is enough for approx. 500 g of wax, so a single stick will colour a large quantity of wax.

The pigments are mixable and lightfast. With the 5 colours you can mix your own in-between shades, and the candles keep their colour in the light.

How to colour wax

Melt the wax and add the pigment to the liquid wax. Stir until the colour is evenly distributed. Do not heat the mixture too much: if it overheats, the wax and the colour pigment separate. For very pale shades, use less pigment than the amount intended for 500 g of wax. If you would like a shade of your own, mix two colours in the liquid wax. Make a note of the ratio so that you can match the shade again later.
