Graine Créative Origami drop silicone candle mould, Ø 60 mm

Graine Créative Origami drop – soft silicone mould for wax and plaster candles

The Origami drop silicone mould from Graine Créative is a candle mould in a drop shape with origami facets. The very soft silicone is flexible, picks up fine edges in the design and is easy to release once set. You can cast wax and plaster in it.

The mould is intended for decorative candles. Because silicone gives way, you simply press the finished piece out of the mould without the edges breaking off.

Casting a candle

Stand the mould on a level, stable surface so that it does not distort as you fill it. Place the wick in the centre and pull it taut, for example on a wooden stick laid across the top. Melt the wax following the wax manufacturer's instructions and pour it in slowly. As wax cools it shrinks, and the centre often sinks. Top up with a little more wax before it sets completely. Only release the piece from the mould once it has set completely.

Care and notes

Wipe the mould with a damp cloth between changes of material or colour. Once you have used a mould for wax or plaster, do not use it for food again.
