Chandelle silicone mould – make your own twisted taper candles

The Chandelle silicone mould from Graine Créative is a mould for twisted taper candles. You pour liquid wax into it and, once it has cooled, you have a candle with a spiral pattern. The soft, flexible silicone peels away easily from the cooled candle, even around the grooves of the twist.

The mould is intended for wax. If you would like to colour the candle, mix wax dye into the liquid wax.

Pouring the candle

Stand the mould on a level, stable surface and fix the wick in the centre so that the candle burns straight later. Pour in the liquid wax slowly and leave it to cool completely. Only then release the mould carefully from the candle, rolling the silicone down from top to bottom so that the spiral pattern stays clean.

Care

Wipe the mould with a damp cloth between pours so that no wax residue sticks to the surface.
