Revell Contacta Professional – liquid plastic glue with needle applicator for precise bonding

Revell Contacta Professional (art. no. 39604) is a liquid plastic glue for model making. You can use it to bond model plastics, such as the parts of polystyrene plastic model kits. The glue welds the plastic parts together and dries quickly.

The needle-fine applicator puts the glue exactly where it belongs. This lets you bond with micro precision on tiny details and on the edges of clear parts. You can also fix small parts you have already assembled afterwards, because the glue can be run into the joint.

Bonding with pinpoint accuracy

Fit the parts together dry first and check that everything matches. Remove mould lines and dust from the surfaces to be bonded. Then place the applicator on the joint or on one of the two bonding surfaces and apply only a small amount of glue. Press the parts together and hold them until the glue has taken hold. Tweezers help with very small parts.

Avoiding common mistakes

Too much glue is the most common mistake: it oozes out of the joint, softens the surface and leaves marks. It is better to apply a little and add more if needed. Thanks to the applicator, you can also work cleanly along the edge of clear parts. Close the bottle again straight after each use, otherwise the solvent evaporates and the applicator may become blocked. Work in a well-ventilated room and keep the glue away from sources of ignition.
