Rayher cylindrical lampshade, white – ready to cover, paint or use as it is

The Rayher cylindrical lampshade is a ready-made white shade for E27 fittings that you can use as it is or decorate yourself. It measures 25 cm in diameter and 15 cm in height and is made of 100 % polyester. The spider fitter for attaching it to the lamp holder is already on the shade, so there is no need to assemble it first.

You can paint the shade or cover it, for example with paper, fabric, fleece, decoupage or DecoMaché paper. Even undecorated, it gives a soft light.

Decorating the shade

You can use the shade straight away or alter it first. A test on a hidden spot shows you how paint or glue looks on the polyester and whether the base shows through. If you cover the shade with paper or fabric, the light shines through more softly or with a pattern, depending on the material. Because paper and fabric react more sensitively to heat than the bare shade, a bulb that gives off little heat, such as an LED, makes sense. The limit of 60 watts applies in every case.

Will the shade fit your lamp?

The shade is supplied without a base and fits lamps with an E27 fitting. The spider fitter holds the shade on the lamp holder. At 25 cm in diameter and 15 cm in height, it forms a shallow, wide cylinder. Before buying, check that your fitting is size E27.
