Rayher plain white lampshade, Ø 30 cm, E27

Rayher white lampshade, Ø 30 cm – to paint and cover

The ready-made Rayher lampshade is a round white shade, 30 cm in diameter, for lights with an E27 bulb holder. It is made of 100 % polyester and comes with a spider fitting for the bulb holder. You can fit it straight away or decorate it to your own taste first.

According to Rayher, the shade can be painted or covered with paper, fabric, decoupage or DecoMaché paper. This lets you match it to a room, furniture or occasion, for example with a fabric that goes with your curtains or with a design of your own. The shade comes without a lamp base, so you will need a suitable light.

Decorating the lampshade

You can paint or cover the shade before putting it on the light. Bear in mind that paint and fabric change the light: dark or densely printed patterns let less light through than the white shade.

• To cover it, cut fabric or paper slightly larger than the area and apply it smoothly.
• To paint it, work thinly and evenly so that the material does not warp.
• Let paint and glue dry completely before you switch on the bulb.
