Glorex Mini Hinges 8 x 20 mm, Pack of 4

Glorex Mini Hinges 8 x 20 mm – for Nailing onto Small Wooden Boxes

The Glorex mini hinge measures 8 x 20 mm and is suitable for small wooden boxes, caskets and trinket boxes, as well as for model making. You nail it directly onto the wood. The pack contains 4 pieces.

The small size suits miniatures and delicate boxes, where large hinges would look out of proportion.

Fitting the hinge

Place the hinge on the edge of the box and lid, mark its position with a pencil and nail it in place. Fit several hinges at the same height so that the lid does not jam and opens easily. With thin or hard wood, it helps to pierce the spots first with a fine needle so that the wood does not split.
