Glorex decorative hinge with eyelet 47 x 20 mm, 2 pieces

Glorex decorative hinge with eyelet – gold-coloured fittings for small chests and boxes

The Glorex decorative hinge with eyelet measures 47 x 20 mm and joins the lid and body of small chests, treasure chests and boxes. It is gold-coloured, made of iron and has a delicate design, so it also stands out as a decorative detail. The set contains 2 pieces, enough for one lid with two hinges.

The hinges are designed to be nailed on and are particularly suited to indoor use. They look good as decoration in the home or on wooden craft projects.

Fitting the hinges

The hinge is nailed to the object and to the lid. First position both hinges at the same distance from the edges, mark the hole positions and only then fix them in place. With thin or hard wood, it helps to pre-drill the nail holes with a fine drill bit so that the wood does not split and the nail goes in straight. Choose nails that are no longer than the wood is thick, so that they do not come out on the other side.
