Glorex Decorative Nail-On Hinges, 37 x 20 mm, Pack of 2

Glorex decorative hinges 37 x 20 mm – nailed on directly

The Glorex decorative hinge is a gold-coloured metal hinge that you nail on directly. You can use it as a fitting on wooden chests, small boxes and other craft projects for indoor use. It measures 37 × 20 mm, and the pack contains 2 pieces.

As the hinge can be nailed on, you need neither glue nor screws to fit it. This is handy on small boxes, where there is little room for screw heads.

Fitting the hinge

Position the hinge where you want it and mark its place with a pencil. Hammer in the nails carefully and straight so that the thin metal does not warp. With hard wood, drill pilot holes with a very thin drill bit so the wood does not split. Choose nails that are no longer than the wood is thick, so they do not come through on the inside.
