Efco lino printing roller Ø 20 mm – small roller for fine lino prints
The Efco lino printing roller with a diameter of 20 mm and a roller width of 60 mm applies printing ink to linocuts and other small printing blocks. The 3 mm thick rubber covering transfers the ink evenly. The narrow roller makes it easier to keep control of fine designs and small areas.
The frame is made of nickel-plated steel wire and has rest supports, so you can set the roller down between passes. A plastic core keeps the roller in shape. It can be taken apart for cleaning.
Inking your printing block
Put a little ink on a smooth plate and roll it out in several directions until you have an even, thin film. Then run the roller over the lino in steady passes. Too much ink runs into fine lines and smudges details. It is better to ink twice, thinly. After printing, clean the roller in the way that suits the type of ink used, and take it apart to do so, so that no ink residue dries in the frame.
Which roller size?
At 60 mm wide, it covers small printing blocks in a single pass; for larger designs, roll several strips side by side. For larger areas, the series also includes a wider roller with Ø 30 mm and a width of 150 mm.
