The white lantern lid with base (Ø 150 × 30 mm) is the starting point for homemade lanterns, for example for St Martin's Day. It consists of a closed base and a top part with an opening. You can pass a lantern stick or a light through the opening.

Choosing and decorating

The 150 mm diameter is the larger option alongside Ø 110 mm. The larger the diameter, the more surface you have for designs and the more room for the light. For each lantern, use parts of the same diameter so that lid and base fit together. It is best to paint or decorate the parts before you assemble the lantern, as you can then reach all the surfaces more easily. Plan the opening in the top part from the start, as the stick or light passes through it.
