Rayher Sealing Wax in Gold and Silver – 4 Sticks for Wax Seals

With Rayher sealing wax in gold and silver, you can decorate invitations, gifts and certificates with a wax seal. The pack contains 4 sticks of 12 g, i.e. 2 × gold and 2 × silver, 48 g in total. The wax is flexible and soft, and therefore suitable for posting according to Rayher.

Rayher estimates approx. 8 seals per stick, which is around 32 seals per pack. You can choose either colour to suit the occasion or combine them on one letter.

Making a wax seal

Before you start, have a wand lighter, a seal stamp and a fireproof surface ready. Hold the wax stick to the flame so that the distance stays even and the wax does not get too close to the flame. Turn the stick as you go so that it melts evenly.

  • Drip the wax in circular movements. The wax area does not need to be quite as large as the seal.
  • Press the stamp in and do not pull it off straight away: wait at least 10 seconds.
  • Let the impression cool down well.

Tips for neat seals

Allow a little more material to begin with, as your first seals will be for practice. Seals made on coated baking paper can be peeled off and stuck on later. You can melt failed seals again with a heat gun. Clean the seal stamp with acetone-free nail polish remover and a wooden stick.
