Rayher Screen Printing Stencil Dots A5 – fine mesh for delicate designs

The Rayher Dots screen printing stencil in A5 size transfers a dots design onto fabric, wood, stretched canvas, paper, concrete, terracotta and other surfaces using paint and a squeegee. The mesh is 100% polyester, very fine and soft, which makes it suitable for delicate designs. The stencil is self-adhesive and reusable. A special gummed coating helps it stick to many surfaces, so it does not slip while you print. The matching squeegee is included.

Rayher recommends acrylic paint, for example Rayher fabric paint, Extreme Sheen or Chalky Finish paints.

How to print with the stencil

The surface must be smooth, and free from dust and grease. Wash fabrics beforehand; place a protective sheet under thin fabrics.

• Lay the stencil in place and press it down firmly. Apply the paint to the stencil above the design as a broad line.
• Hold the stencil at the top with one hand and pull the paint downwards with the squeegee at a 45° angle until the whole design is covered.
• Straight afterwards, carefully peel the stencil off flat from the side so the outlines stay sharp.

Cleaning and fixing

Clean the stencil and squeegee with water straight after printing. Otherwise the paint dries in the fine mesh and the stencil can no longer be reused easily. On fabric, fix the paint once it has dried. For a special effect, you can sprinkle fine glitter into the wet paint.
