Rayher Polystyrene Squirrel – white animal figure to paint and decorate

The Rayher polystyrene squirrel is a white animal figure made of Styropor® (EPS) for painting, gluing and decorating. At 105 × 180 mm, it is big enough for an eye-catching design and still easy to handle. You can use it as a table decoration, for seasonal crafts or as a homemade gift.

The figure is finely detailed and has a smooth surface. You can decorate it with paint, glitter, fabric scraps or sequins. The blank can become a squirrel in natural tones or a colourful fantasy figure.

Decorating the squirrel

Polystyrene does not tolerate every paint and glue: solvent-based paints, sprays and glues can attack the material. Use water-based acrylic or craft paint and a water-based craft glue. Apply the paint in thin layers and let each layer dry, so the details of the figure stay clearly visible. Glue fabric scraps, sequins or glitter on only once the paint is dry.
