Rayher Polystyrene Frog 13 cm – Animal Figure to Paint and Decorate

The Rayher polystyrene frog is a white animal figure that you can decorate as you like: paint it, stick things onto it, needle felt it or embroider it with sequins. According to Rayher, it is a realistic, finely detailed frog measuring 13 cm that can be decorated in many ways.

As a blank, it is suitable for decorating projects at school, for seasonal decorations or as a craft figure in its own right.

Decorating the frog

Rayher suggests four ways: painting, sticking on trims, needle felting and embroidering with sequins. Which technique you choose depends on the look you want.

• Painting: Rayher recommends all-purpose or craft paint. Use water-based paints. Solvent-based paints, spray paint and some glues can attack polystyrene, so test them first on an inconspicuous spot.
• Sticking on trims: rhinestones or fabric scraps add accents, for example as eyes or as a pattern on the back.
• Needle felting: with felting wool and a felting needle, the frog gets a soft, coloured surface.
• Sequins: they create a glittering scale pattern.
