Efco nickel-plated pins – for pinning sequins onto polystyrene

Efco pins are made of nickel-plated iron, silver-coloured and designed for sequin work: you pin sequins directly onto polystyrene shapes to decorate them. The pins come in three lengths (10, 13 and 18 mm); choose the length from the options. The pack contains 500 g, and the number of pins depends on the length.

Sequin work step by step

Thread a sequin onto a pin and push it into the polystyrene shape. Place the next sequin beside it, slightly overlapping, until the surface is evenly covered. Thanks to the small heads of the pins, the fixing stays largely hidden beneath the sequins. Store the sharp pins carefully.

Which length should you choose?

The pin should sit deep enough in the polystyrene but must not poke out on the other side. For thin-walled or small polystyrene pieces, use the shorter lengths; on larger shapes, longer pins hold the sequins more securely. For the same weight you get more pins with the shorter lengths, which makes it easier to plan quantities for large surfaces.
