UHU POR – transparent specialist glue for polystyrene and rigid foam

UHU POR is a quick-grab specialist adhesive for bonding polystyrene and other rigid foams such as EPS, XPS and Depron. You can use it for model making, crafts, or polystyrene sheets and figures. The adhesive film is flexible, ageing-resistant, almost colourless and water-resistant, so the bond line is barely noticeable.

The glue also bonds rigid foam to wood, metal, ceramics, plaster, paper, textiles and many plastics. It is not suitable for PE, PP, PET, PTFE, POM and silicone (SI). Once dry, the bond withstands temperatures from -30 °C to +70 °C.

How to glue polystyrene with UHU POR

The surfaces must be dry, clean and free from grease and oil. Do not use the glue at temperatures below +5 °C. Apply it to both surfaces and leave it to air for about 10 minutes, until it is touch-dry. Then press the parts together briefly and firmly. Once pressed together, the bond cannot be corrected, so align the parts precisely beforehand. The bond reaches its final strength after 72 hours. Do not subject it to heavy loads until then.

Application tips

With Depron or unknown foams, test the glue first on an inconspicuous spot. Solvent-based glues can dissolve delicate foams. Clean residues and tools with light petroleum spirit. Store the tube tightly closed, upright, in a cool, frost-free place.
