Bird house with removable zinc roof, raw pine, 13.5 × 11 × 19 cm

Pine bird house with removable zinc roof

This bird house is a tit box made of raw pine with a removable zinc roof. With an entrance hole 32 mm in diameter and dimensions of 13.5 × 11 × 19 cm, it is compact and suits small gardens, trees or house walls.

The wood is raw, meaning untreated. You can use the box as it is, or decorate it first to your own taste. The zinc roof is removable and gives you easy access to the inside.

Decorating and positioning

If you would like to paint the bird house, lightly sand any rough areas and apply paint or wood stain on the outside only. The inside and the edge of the entrance hole stay untreated. Leave the finish to dry and air completely before hanging it up. The zinc roof protects the box from rain from above. Hang or fix the bird house in a quiet spot, ideally facing away from the prevailing weather, sheltered from strong sun and out of reach of cats.
