Rayher Wood Veneer House Silhouettes – 8 Pieces to Paint and Decorate

The Rayher wood veneer house silhouettes are 8 house shapes made from wafer-thin natural-coloured veneer for decorative projects. The houses measure 5.5 to 10 cm and are 1 mm thick. You can leave them natural or paint them.

At just 1 mm thick, the silhouettes can be stuck down flat, for example as a row of houses around a glass tealight holder. The self-service bag contains 8 pieces, so you can plan a border made up of several houses.

Using the house silhouettes

For a lantern border, stick the houses to the outside of a glass with double-sided tape, as shown in a Rayher craft guide. If you would like them in colour, paint them before sticking them on and let the paint dry. Apply only a little paint, as thin wood can warp easily when it gets very wet. Please note that wood is flammable: if you use real candles in the glass, keep a sufficient distance from the houses or use an LED light.

Combining with moulds

According to Rayher, the silhouettes go with the Rayher silicone mould "Lichthäuser" (art. no. 36132000). As an example, Rayher shows a concrete house on a wooden stand (art. no. 64524000) with a metal ring. This way you can combine cast houses and wooden houses in one decoration.
