Canson “C” à grain Spiral Sketchbook, A5+, 180 gsm, 30 Sheets

Canson “C” à grain Spiral Sketchbook A5+ – Fine-Grain Drawing Paper, 30 Sheets

The Canson “C” à grain spiral drawing pad in A5+ size is a sketching and drawing pad with 30 sheets of natural white paper. The surface has a light grain (“Grain fin”), so it is neither smooth nor rough. At 180 gsm, the paper keeps its shape even with heavy strokes and repeated layering.

The spiral binding lets the pad lie flat. The micro-perforation helps you tear out individual sheets cleanly when you want to show, frame or give away a drawing.

Which techniques suit this paper?

The fine grain takes dry media well: pencil, charcoal, pastel, chalk and red chalk. The paper is acid-free and lightfast, so your drawings should last. Charcoal and pastel smudge easily, so spray finished sheets with fixative. For watercolour with a lot of water, it is better to use a paper designed for that purpose.

Which size?

This pad is the handy size for sketching on the go and small studies. If you need more space, the “C” à grain series at 180 gsm is also available in A4+.
