JUMBO Grip Metallic – thick triangular colouring pencil with grip zone

The Faber-Castell JUMBO Grip Metallic is an extra thick metallic colouring pencil with an ergonomic triangular shape and a patented grip zone. It gives glossy metallic colours and, according to the manufacturer, suits light, coloured and dark papers. It lets you add accents that ordinary colouring pencils barely show on dark paper.

The lead is especially break-resistant thanks to a special bonding process and gives a soft application of colour. According to the manufacturer, the thick triangular barrel is adapted to the ergonomics of a child's hand. Using the metallic pencil

Metallic colours show up best on dark or coloured paper, for example for lettering, stars, frames or patterns on black card. On light paper they add glossy accents between other colours. The pigments are water-soluble: apply the colour and go over it with a damp brush to create watercolour effects.

Thick lead, secure grip

The extra thick lead is intended for colouring large areas and drawing bold lines. Fine details are less easy to achieve with it than with slim pencils. According to the manufacturer, the colour can be washed out of most textiles.
