Schipper Paint by Numbers Horse Portrait, 24 x 30 cm

Schipper Horse Portrait – Paint by Numbers, 24 x 30 cm

With the Schipper "Horse Portrait" paint by numbers kit, you paint a horse picture measuring 24 x 30 cm yourself. The principle is simple: the printed template is marked with numbers that tell you which colour to use for each section. The picture builds up section by section, even if you have no drawing experience.

According to Schipper, the paints are water-based, pre-mixed and ready to use. You do not need to mix anything and can start straight away. A brush is included in the kit. The picture is supplied without a frame; to hang it, choose a suitable frame in 24 x 30 cm.

Painting

First find a well-lit surface and put down a protective cover. Then match each number on the template to its colour and paint the sections one after another.

• Work colour by colour, so you need to rinse the brush less often.
• Start with small sections and details, then move on to the large areas.
• Close the paint pots after each use so the paint does not dry out.
• Rinse the brush from time to time and leave it to dry lying flat, never upright with the bristles pointing up.

Choosing a kit

The horse portrait is an animal picture measuring 24 x 30 cm. The size is manageable enough for a relaxed afternoon of painting or several short sessions. Schipper also offers this size for other animal portraits.
