Artemio 360° Circle Cutter – craft knife with a swivelling blade for curves
The Artemio 360° circle cutter is a craft knife with a swivel-mounted blade for fine cuts in paper. The blade follows the movement of your hand, so curves, rounded shapes and flowing lines can be cut without lifting the blade. The knife is particularly suited to cutting paper, working with die-cut stencils and intricate craft projects.
It comes with a safety cap for safe storage and two spare blades, so you can change the blade when it becomes blunt.
Cutting curves and stencils
Place your paper on a cutting mat and secure the paper or stencil so that nothing slips. Hold the cutter like a pen, as upright as possible, and guide the blade along the edge of the stencil with light pressure. The swivelling blade aligns itself with the direction of the cut, so you do not need to turn the knife. For tight curves, cut slowly and in one movement; with thicker paper, make two light passes rather than using a lot of force. Too much pressure makes the blade chip and tears the paper at the edges.
Changing the blade and storage
If the cut edges fray or the paper tears, the blade is usually blunt. In that case, fit one of the two spare blades. Put the safety cap back on after each use, so that the tip is protected and you do not injure yourself when putting the cutter away.
