Caran d'Ache 849 COLORMAT-X Mechanical Pencil in Green, 0.7 mm HB

Caran d'Ache 849 COLORMAT-X in Green – Mechanical Pencil with Aluminium Barrel

The Caran d'Ache 849 COLORMAT-X mechanical pencil in green takes a 0.7 mm HB graphite lead for writing and taking notes. The barrel is hexagonal and made of aluminium, with a satin, micro-blasted finish. The metal barrel is light, and the hexagonal shape stops the pencil from rolling off the desk. The pencil is designed and made in Switzerland.

Under the push button sits an eraser, and below it a compartment for 0.7 mm spare leads. With the metal clip you can attach the pencil to a notebook, shirt pocket or document folder. The lead is refillable, so you can go on using the pencil for a long time.

Lead and eraser

The 0.7 mm HB lead gives a medium, easy-to-read line for notes and sketches. When the lead is used up, insert spare leads of the same 0.7 mm diameter. The eraser under the push button can be replaced when worn; make sure you use suitable spare parts.

Colour and engraving

The COLORMAT-X Line is available in other colours, such as turquoise, blue, yellow, pink, violet and orange. According to the manufacturer, the construction and specifications are the same for all colours, so you simply choose by taste. Caran d'Ache also offers the pencils as personalisable, for example with an engraving.
