Faux Leather Bag Base, Beige – for Crocheting Onto or Sewing On

The Go Handmade faux leather bag base is made of beige faux leather (PU leather) for handmade handbags. It measures 31 × 10 cm and has holes of Ø 4 mm. You attach the body of the bag to it without having to punch holes yourself.

The corners of the base are rounded. The base gives your bag a firm foundation and can be crocheted onto or sewn on.

Working with the bag base

The holes around the edge serve as the starting point for the body of the bag. Depending on your pattern, you either work stitches directly through the holes or sew on fabric or knitted pieces.

• Crocheting on: the crochet hook must fit through a hole of Ø 4 mm. Try this out on one spot with your yarn first.
• Sewing on: use a suitable needle and strong thread so that the seam withstands the strain.
• Work evenly into every hole so that the bag does not sit crooked later.

At 31 × 10 cm, this base is intended for small to medium-sized bags. For a larger bag, the base is also available in 36 × 13 cm. Both sizes come in beige and black, so you can choose the colour to match your yarn or fabric.
