KnitPro Repair Hooks – repair hooks for dropped stitches

KnitPro Repair Hooks are a set of 3 short repair hooks for catching dropped stitches and correcting small mistakes in your knitting or crochet. Each hook has a hook at one end and an ordinary needle tip at the other.

The three sizes, 3.5 mm, 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm, cover common needle sizes. The hooks are made of wood and so short that they fit in any project bag and are quickly to hand when a stitch needs rescuing.

How to rescue a dropped stitch

Choose the hook that roughly matches the needle size of your work. For a dropped stitch in stocking stitch, put the hook through the stitch, pull the horizontal strand of the top rung of the ladder through the stitch from behind and bring it to the front. Repeat this rung by rung up the ladder. Then use the needle tip at the other end to lift the rescued stitch back onto the knitting needle.

Which size to choose

Use the 3.5 mm hook for finer yarns, the 4.5 mm hook for medium ones and the 5.5 mm hook for thicker ones. A hook that is much too thick will stretch the stitch, so it is worth checking the needle size of your project.
